From the Telegraph of 3 April 2019: GRUBB Alexander Richard Watkins, on Wednesday March 20th 2019, peacefully in hospital, after a short illness. Richard, aged 77, of Davenham and formerly of Cranage and Malpas. Beloved husband of Jane, much loved father of Charles and Susan and an adored grandfather. Funeral Service at St. Oswald’s Church, Malpas on Thursday April 18th at 2.30 p.m. Followed by interment at Malpas Cemetery. This will be a celebration of his life, suits or black not required. He was s of Maj Alexander James Watkins GRUBB (1909-90), scion of the Irish gentry family of that name, and his 1st w Margaret (1914-72) d of Richard DALE of Malpas, Cheshire. He m 1968 Jane Waugh (b 1936 reg Q1 Shropshire) d of Maj Reginald Waugh HARRIS (1907-87) of Pontesford House, Shropshire by his 1935 m (reg Q2 London) to Grace Susan WILLIAMSON (1905-79), and had a son and a dau as above.
