Captain Robert Henry Metge married, firstly, Frances Thomasina Virginia Lambart, daughter of Reverend Charles James Lambart and Marian Smith, on 14 February 1874.[1] He married, secondly, Lilian Margaret Grubb, daughter of Richard Cambridge Grubb and Harriet Richardson, in 1892.[2] He died on 19 September 1900.[1]
He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)[2] He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)[2] He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)[1] He lived at Athlumney, Kilcairne, County Meath, IrelandG.[1]
