Lucy WOOD(1) was born on Mar 29 1849 in Shropshire, England. She died on Sep 15 1910 in lone Tree, Iowa ?. Mrs. Lucy Wood fountain was born in Shropshire, England, March 29, 1849; died September 15, 1910 aged 61 years 5 months and 16 days. She came with her parents to this country when she was only 6 months old. There were 10 children born to Emsley and Lucy but one little daughter died in infancy. She united with the M. E. Church in early womanhood and for over 40 years she continued a true, faithful and consistent member of the same.
She leaves behind her husband, 9 children, 32 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mary Cooper of Grenola, Kansas; one half brother, William Wood, whose whereabouts are unknown a host of nieces, nephews and friends and one cousin Mrs. Lizzie Cook of Eaton Rapids, Michigan.
She was a member of the M. B. A. (Modern Brotherhood of America) Lodge.
The funeral was held in the M. E. Church conducted by Rev. Phillips and assisted by Rev. Hawk and Oathout. Internment in the Lone Tree cemetery.
