Ruth Ann Gray
December 10, 1908 ~ March 1, 2006
A vigil will be 5 p.m. March 5 at Coeur d'Alene English Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. March 6 at St. Thomas Church, 919 Indiana Ave., Coeur d'Alene with burial to follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.
Ruth Ann Gray, 97, Coeur d'Alene, died March 1, 2006, at Pinewood Care Center in Coeur d'Alene. She was born Dec. 10, 1908, in Granite Falls, Wash., to Merrill and Margaret (Kelly) Parr. She moved to Coeur d'Alene from Granite Falls in 1926.
On Sept. 15, 1926, in Everett, Wash., she married Wyatt Gray. She was a homemaker and a clerk at St. Vincent de Paul. She also was a cook at St. Thomas Rectory. Ruth was a member of St. Thomas Church, Idaho Council of Catholic Women, Catholic Daughters, and the Altar Society.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law John "Jack" E. and Mary Gray, Joseph M. Gray, Michael G. and Pam Gray all of Coeur d'Alene, Patrick G. and Mimi Gray of Spearfish, S.D.; daughters and sons-in-law Gloria and William Bond of Ballwin, Mo., and Julie and Virgil Zabinski of Spokane, 34 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wyatt in 1953, son William W. Gray on Jan. 24, 1982, son Wyatt Gray on Jan. 11, 2004; daughter Gilda Gray on Jan. 15, 1999; sisters Betty Smith, Mar Lane and Mary McCormick; brother Donald Parr.
