Grubb Family Tree

From The Transactions of the Rockefeller Family Association:

John R. Rockefeller {Robert W. Petrus D. Diel, Diell), was
bom in 1845. He married Sarah A. Holmes and their union was
blessed with the following children: David H., George W., John W.
and Robert H.

In 1876 he was baptized and united with the Tivoli Baptist
Church. When he changed his place of residence from Tivoli, N. Y.»
to Bridgeport, Conn., he became a member of the First Baptist Chtu'ch
of that town. Later when he removed to New York City he united
with the Sixteenth St. Church of which he was a member at the time
of his decease.

He was interested in politics and was a member of the Republican
Club of the 9th Assembly District. He was also a member of Colonial
Council of the Royal Arcanum.

He was a kind and loving husband, father and brother, and a
benevolent citizen. Being social, he made many friends and was
always ready with a kind word, a loving smile and an open hand to
help the needy. He died in New York City in 1907 and was buried
in Rosedale Cemetery, Orange, N. J.
