Sergeant Francis Swinburne Woodhouse was born on 25 February 1920.[1] He is the son of Robert Woodhouse and Mary Frances Watson Anderson.[1]
He was educated at Bryanston School, Blandford, Dorset, England.[1] He was educated at Herman Lietz School, Germany.[1] He was educated at Newtown School, Waterford, County Waterford, Ireland.[1] He retired from the military in 1946, with the rank of Sergeant, late of the Royal Army Service Corps.[1] He was an employee of the Kenya Colonial Service between 1946 and 1964, Forestry Department.[1] He graduated from University College Cork, Cork, County Cork, Ireland, in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)[1] He was working with the South African Forests Investments Ltd. from 1970.[1] As of 1976, Sergeant Francis Swinburne Woodhouse lived at 11 Pilgrims Rest 1290, East Transvaal, South Africa.[1]
