Ms. Bobbie Hall Ward, of Greenville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.Ms. Ward, daughter of the late, Robert Clifton and Clair Garnett Hall, was a native of Roxboro, N.C. She spent her childhood and youthful years active in the Presbyterian Church. Bobbie completed her studies at Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C., with a B.A. Degree in piano. She lived most of her life in Galax, where she was active in the First United Methodist Church, and in 1978, received Life Membership in the UMW from Holston Conference. She also was active in Civic, Church, and Social Organizations.A piano teacher, Bobbie also was a Resident Director for Salem College and Saint Mary's College. After retirement, she was a loving caregiver. Her greatest gift was her love of people especially the young and senior citizens. She lived in Winston Salem, N.C. and Roanoke before moving to Greenville, N.C., to be near her daughter.She is survived by her daughters, Donna Ward Schaub and husband, Danny, of Columbia, Md., Betsy Ward McKee and husband, Stan, of Bartlett, Tenn., and Dede Ward Sendrowski and husband, Danny, of Greenville, N.C.; only sister, Arlene Hall Work and husband, Jim, of Katy, Texas; five granddaughters, Keri McKee Phillips of Somerville, Tenn., Brooke Schaub of Columbia, Md., Courtney Schaub of Charlotte, N.C., Lauren McKee Spencer of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Emily Sendrowski Beckett of Farmville, N.C.; one grandson, Wesley McKee of Oakland, Tenn.
