Francis EASTERBY b. 1725 Topcliffe by Thirsk
m. Jane ADDISON 1746 at Easington in Cleveland
Francis owned whaling ships sailing out of Whitby.He later acquired the estate of Skinningrove in Cleveland.
Francis had sons Francis Jr.(m.CRESSWELL), John (below), Andrew (m. STEPHENSON) and Joseph, as well as several daughters, one of whom married a Mr. ROBERTS.
Francis Sr.'s son John EASTERBY m. Grace JOHNSTONE in 1788, of Woodhorn Northumbria.Their only son Frank died at age 15. Their only daughter Catherine Grace (1794-1857) m. John Charles MAYNARD in 1813. John and Grace EASTERBY are buried at Brotton.
