Though there were several members of the extended Maynard family with this name, this Thomas Burton is the son of John Charles and Catherine Grace Maynard.

Thomas Burton Maynard married Emily, born about 1845, a daughter of Mr. J.Myers of Darlington. They had a daughter Margretta Maynard, who was born in about 1864. Thomas died at his home in Grimston, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. He was survived by his wife Emily of Grimston.
