Trevor-Roper, Caroline

Birth Name Trevor-Roper, Caroline
Gender female
Age at Death 64 years, 7 months, 9 days

Narrative

Caroline was the daughter of Cadwallader Blayney Trevor-Roper, of Plas Teg, Flintshire, Wales, and his second wife Elizabeth Agnes (Gayton) Trevor-Roper, said to be the daughter of Rev. Clark Gayton "of Clones, Monaghan, Ireland". I believe Agnes' parents were actually the Rev. George Clark Gayton (1751-1800) and his wife Elizabeth, of Swallowfield, Berks.

Caroline may possibly have been born at the house Plas Teg, near Hope, Flintshire, but was more likely born at Neston in Cheshire. She never married, but decided to join her sister Agnes T-R Boydell in Canada, probably at the time of Agnes' return to Canada in 1869.

The sisters may have been instrumental in the emigration of their niece, Gertrude Trevor-Roper Maynard and her family to the Bury area in 1869.
