Narrative

Alexander Work lived and died in Lancaster Co. His son, Alexander was unnamed and unbamptized at the time of his will. The will was made 17 Mar 1748 and proved in 1749. A stepdaughter, Elizabeth McNute, b 1720, is also mentioned, given rise to speculation as to a possible maiden name different from McNute as listed for the wife Miriam. One note sent to me said her name was Sterrett. I have no verification for this however.
