Roger Fenton and Grace Elizabeth Maynard were married on August 29, 1843, at the parish church of St. Oswald, on the Maynard estate of Harlsey Hall in E. Harlsey, N. Yorkshire.
Grace and some of the Fenton children appear in several of Roger Fenton's photographs, images of which can be found online.
Their six children were Josephine Frances (1845-1850), the artist Annie Grace Fenton (1846-1913), Aimée Frances (b. 6/1850), Eva Katherine (b. 3/1853), Rose Maynard (b. 7/1855), and Anthony Maynard Fenton (1859-1860). At least three of the children died in infancy.
Grace died at Westcombe Lodge, Hayes, Middlesex (now West London).
Roger and Grace shared a joint tombstone which was headed with the words: "God is Love". The Church of St. John the Baptist was deconsecrated and finally demolished in 1970.
The fate or current location of the Fentons' burial site and memorial is unknown to me. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
