Narrative

My grandfather, Blayney Easterby Maynard was 6 years old when the family landed at Levis, Quebec (on the south bank of the St. Lawrence River, opposite Quebec City) in May 1869.
The family was en route to New Zealand from their farm in the Eastern Townships, Quebec, in 1875 - they got to the Santa Clara Valley and stayed.
Uncle Dave and Uncle Steve were my grandfather's brothers. Dave became a lay brother in the monastery at Los Altos, CA. Steve was a dentist - I think practiced in So. Calif but for many years in San Jose.
