Grubb Family Tree

From the Montreal Gazette, January 13, 1945:

REGINALD GRUBB. general manager of the Fertilizer Group of Canadian Industries Limited, has tendered his resignation for reasons of health and is retiring after 44 yeais of continuous service with the company, it has been announced. A native of Clashganny, near Dublin, Ireland. Mr. Grubb began his business career in Oakland. Calif., as stock clerk and delivery boy at a salary of $4 a week. His first job in the chemical industry was with the California Powder Works and he came to Canada to join the Hamilton Powder Company, predecessor company of C-I-L as district sales manager at Nelson. B.C. He was western sales manager of the C-I-L Explosives Division until 1920 when he transferred to Montreal to become division sales manager. In 1929, after spending nearly 29 years in the explosives business, he was named general manager of the Fertilizer Group, which position he now relinquishes. He served as chairman of the Fertilizer Industry Advisory Committee, Wartime Prices and Trade Board, from the time of its format ion until December last. A brother.
